Master Mew is Musashi's teacher. Despite the series being based in a Japanese universe, Mew's use of the word "Ayah" suggests a Chinese back-ground. Mew is a Furrydom cat.
He will always start his speech with the word "Meow" unless shocked or surprised in which case he will yell, "AYAH!"
Musashi usually calls him "Whisker Dude", until the end of the game, when he finally acknowledges Mew as "Master".

In Musashi: Samurai Legend, Master Mew taught the player how to play in a tutorial. He also teaches Musashi a new ability every chapter and it is important to visit him each chapter or the ability will be missed. Counterstrike is critical or it will be impossible to complete the game.

- He is similar to Steward Ribson from the first game.
- In consideration of Samurai Legend's surfing themes, he may be a play on the significant but controversial surfer Mikolos Dora, or Miki Dora, who was known as "Da Cat" for his nimble and cat like movements while surfing.
